Hiroshige - Seba Station (No. 32)
The Sixty-nine Stations of the Kisokaidō (Kisokaidō Rokujūkyū-tsugi) is a was created collaboratively with Keisai Eisen between roughly 1834 and 1842. Serving as a follow-up to Hiroshige’s previous success documenting the coastal Tōkaidō highway, this ambitious project chronicles the inland Nakasendō mountain route connecting Edo (modern Tokyo) with Kyoto. The entire collection comprises 71 distinct prints, accounting for the 69 official rest stations along with the starting point at Nihonbashi and the final destination.
