Because its anatomy stood out so dramatically from other hummingbirds, he created an entirely new, single-species (monotypic) genus specifically to classify it. It is native exclusively to the humid cloud forests, dense understories, and damp mountain ravines of Venezuela and northeastern Colombia. It is highly solitary and fiercely territorial. Rather than sharing food sources, a single Violet-chested Hummingbird will actively patrol and defend a personal patch of Heliconia flowers from all intruders.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Archival Finds Prints","offers":[{"title":"Photo - 13cm x 18cm","offer_id":54498796077393,"sku":"0657-Photo","price":14.5,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"A5 - 14.8cm x 21 cm","offer_id":54498796044625,"sku":"0657-A5","price":14.5,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"A4 - 21cm x 29,7cm","offer_id":54498795979089,"sku":"0657-A4","price":24.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true},{"title":"A3 - 29,7cm x 42cm","offer_id":54498796011857,"sku":"0657-A3","price":34.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1046\/0977\/5953\/files\/0657_Portrait1_b8f782de-9d2d-4094-a1d9-3a756e25a2d8.webp?v=1790110643","url":"https:\/\/archivalfinds.com\/ja\/products\/657-violet-chested-hummingbird-john-gould","provider":"Archival Finds Prints","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
