Kōetsu - Plum Blossom
Giclee print of refined version of an Edo period (1600–1630) print by Hon'ami Kōetsu (1558 – 1637), an important multi-disciplinary Japanese artist, calligrapher, and craftsman whose innovations profoundly shaped Japanese aesthetics during the transition into the Edo period. Often described by art historians as a "Renaissance man" or an "art director" par excellence, Kōetsu collaborated across mediums to co-found the foundational Rinpa school of Japanese art.
